This picture shows a gray square that represents a host that wants to transmit data. In order to enable a host to transmit data, left click in the square that represents the desired host connected to the network.
This picture shows a host that has gained access to the ring and placed data that it wants to transmit on the network. All hosts to which the data is addressed flash red until the last data packet passes the location of that host. To select a host as receiver of sent data packets, right click in the square that represents the desired host connected to the network.

This picture shows the hosts that were selected as receivers have stopped flashing red once the sent data packets have passed there location.

This picture shows that once the packets have traversed the ring once, and returned to the location of the host that initially placed the packets on the network. They are then removed from the network by that host as shown in the picture.

This picture shows that once all the packets have been removed from the network by the host that sent them, the Token is then returned to the network, making it available to other hosts that want to transmit data.
