Title: Data Collection Protocols in WSNs

Abstract: In many wireless sensor networks, a base station or an electronic central unit is responsible for collecting data from all sensors in the network. Although routing techniques have been well studied for WSNs, most of them haven't exploited the features of such networks and thus are not designed specifically for the data collection application. Hence, data collection protocols emerge to better accomplish the task. In this talk, we will present several data collection protocols including Collection Tree Protocol (CTP), Bursty Routing Extensions (BRE) and so on.
